We know visiting a church for the first time can feel overwhelming, so we want to make your experience as smooth and welcoming as possible. Here’s what you can expect when you join us for worship on a Sunday morning
SERVICE TIMES & STYLES
We offer two distinct worship services each Sunday:

Held in our Worship Life Center
A casual, modern service with a live band
A welcoming atmosphere where you can come as you are
Snacks and coffee are available in the hospitality hub right outside the service.

Held in our Sanctuary
A formal, liturgical service with hymns, choir, and organ music.
Rich in tradition, with scripture, prayer, and meaningful reflection
KIDS, YOUTH, & FAMILIES

A safe, loving environment staffed by trained caregivers.
Our check-in system ensures a secure experience, with name badges printed for all children.

Engaging, age-appropriate lessons designed to help kids learn about God in a fun way.

Children begin in worship with their families and then leave after the Children’s Moment for a special worship experience in our Children’s Chapel.
Includes music, a Bible lesson, games, and a craft to help kids connect with God in an interactive way.

Meets on the 3rd floor for discussion-based Bible study, faith-building, and community.

Various classes meet on the 2nd floor to study scripture, grow in faith, and build community. Click here to learn more about our classes.
WHAT TO EXPECT

🚗 For Modern Worship (9:45 AM): Look for signs in the parking lot near the Medlock Bridge entrance, which will guide you to the best entrance for the Worship Life Center.
🚗 For Traditional Worship (11:00 AM): Signs in the parking lot will direct you to parking near the Sanctuary.
🔹 Our facilities are fully accessible, and our team is happy to assist with any needs.

You’ll be greeted warmly by our ushers and our greeters. We also have a hospitality room outside of both services. We have members of our hospitality team waiting there after both services to answer any questions you might have and to offer you a small gift from us.

Typically, those who attend our Modern Worship (9:45 AM) dress a bit more casually, while those at our Traditional Worship (11:00 AM) often wear their "Sunday best." But most importantly—come as you are! Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable as you worship with us.

Our check-in system makes drop-off simple and secure, and children are always welcome in worship. For your first visit you will need to register your kids at check-in. Please arrive a few minutes early to register.

Communion is served once a month at Johns Creek United Methodist Church. Anyone who desires to receive communion can partake, regardless of church membership, age, or even baptism status, as the UMC practices an "open table" policy, meaning all are welcome at the Lord's table.
