DESIGNATED FUNDS

Pastoral

This fund assists individual church members and their families and other community members in need. The clergy is the point of contact for these needs and there are specific guidelines and a benevolence policy regarding oversight of these funds.  All administration of such funds is kept confidential.

Helping Hands

Helps fund the following community-based charities:

  • Norcross Coop Ministries

  • North Fulton Comm charities

  • The Place of Forsyth County, Inc.

Johns Creek UMC accepts several designated contributions. Below is a list of our current Benevolence Funds recipients. To give to any of these funds, please indicate on your check or online in the memo field.

Mission Funds

General mission funds - to support the planned mission trips that JCUMC is involved in.  Every July, JCUMC goes to Guatemala.  Search ‘mission trips’ on the church web site for more info.

Guatemala feeding Center- funds directed to the GTA feeding Center.

Building/Capital Funds

general funds for future capital projects of the church. These projects must be approved by the Board of Trustees.

Note:  All designated gifts are held in “trust” by the Church until such obligation/designation has been met.  The donor relinquishes all present and future dominion and power over all gifts.  It is JCUMC policy that no gift may be returned to a donor.  Designated funds cannot be contributed or directed to a specific individual.
